My Sign off and Farewells to BLOGGER ! :'(
Its been an honor to use Blogger as the foundation of presenting all my coursework including all the updates made. I've Mostly enjoyed it and grown attatched to the habbit of posting new things and things associated with my work. Glad that everything is complete and that all my work has come to a great success!
Audience feed back on Ancillary productions + Audience feedback for music video
The feed back i received for my Ancillary productions:
"its definately something that would draw my attention if it were to be in stock"
"it looks proffesional"
"The theme looks abit urban instead of R&B Pop style"
The feedback i received for my music video:
"I love the locations you had for your basetracks"
"Alot of cuts for the edits, could improve by allowing some shot to last abit longer so go with the mood of the song abit more"
"The musical phases match exactly with the rhythm of the song"
"Good use of strong edits, thoughtful use of mise- en scene and sound"
What i have learnt from all my feed back and constructive crtisisms is that i have managed to pick up the skills of editing well and sucessfully caught my audiences attention. I am now also aware of the places i could have improved on such as not always repeating shots and using a variety. At least we also know that the locations we went to were worth going to and that we made great use of them for our artists to notice.

Evaluation :Question Four
Moving on from AS i have realised the difference in terms of feedback i get from the audience about my work. One major thing which i noticed is that after the outcome of my production last year i wasn't recieving as much positive feedback from my audience. On the other hand, this year i have receive a lot of feedback from the audience and the majority of them have happened to be positive. In a sense this clearly triggers the fact that i have developed nessasarry skills to produce my media product. Not only that but i have also acheive the goal of meeting a wider audience who are social and find interest in my music video. Our Target audience are girls who are young adults/ teenagers from ages 16 to 18. I beleive we have acheive our main goal of targeting them as our artist is also a young teen, going through emotional conflict which is quite common with young teenage girls in today society.
I managed to gather some feed back from these students after the screening!
As our music video appeared on the screen during the screening of all videos i was often looking around to see people's expressions and their reactions to certain parts of the music video. What i noticed was a lot of people cheering at the types of effects and transitions we used esspecially towards the ending whereas some people were engaged and focused with the music video since it such a moving and emotionally depressing song . From this alone, i felt releaved at the efforts put in towards the construction of our music video by me and my group that were actually noticeable to the audience in terms of editing and our performer's credible performance.

CLASS ANALYSIS OF VIDEOS
This day we presented our rough cut to the class and was given feedback on the stage we were at. A couple of people mention a few things that we could imporve and few things that they liked about it.
Two critisisms:
- "The projection shots seemed quite unrealistic"
- "The framing was our for quite a lot of the shots"
Two things that were good at the time:
- "The basetracks were suitable and effective in relation to our choice of song"
- "The cuts were effective and meaningful"
Feedback 2
Unlike AS, in A2 i have come to realise that without feedback your product would be unsuccessful because the audience are what bring meaning to the product in order to make it known to sell and earn profits. So a thing i have learnt from the feedbacks is that as an artist trying to grow in the music industry it is important to take notes of the critisism in order to improve and meet up their expectations as our targets because how the product is judged goes down to their opinions so it is highly essential to LISTEN to them.
If i could go back, what i could improve is possiblly consider all the constructive critisism from the audience in order to improve my work and make it much better as a result of what they want and expect. Relecting back over on it all after the feedback it has made me look ar my products in a different light.

Evaluation : Question Two
HOW EFFECTIVELY IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT (VIDEO) AND ANCILLARY TEXT (DIGIPAK) AND (ADVERTISEMENT)?
This screen shot illustrates the visual link between my music video and my ancillary. My promotional pack was made and constructed accordingly to match the aspects of my music video. This particular screenshot coveys the city lights in certain parts of my ancillary which corresponds to the city light im my music video from the night scenes. I puposely included this because from the feed back, the night scenes tended to be what our audiences remembered so they would be atracted to my media texts. So as our "strongest" scene i made it reflect in my album and advert. Also because it looks creative and blends in well with the colour scheme.
This particular screenshot illustrates the traditional repetition of hand gestures and poses which our artist makes quite often in the music video. This lead me on to think carefully for when we started the photoshoot and chosing images for my digipak by making sure they involved hand to show this visual link/connection between the video and my media texts.
These screen shots placed aside covey the repetition of blue which mirror in both the music video and my media texts this creates the sense that i am dragging a colour scheme as part of our artist image throughout her music video and into the media texts.

Evaluation : Question One
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Planning Evaluations
Planning my evaluation was an important way of taking a suitable approach towards each of my questions.
The process i went through when planning:
- i took notes on how each of them will be answered.
- Things i could refer back to.
- which forms of media technology i intend to use for each one.
- Where to begin from ( in my situation i already received feedback from the day of the screening so i decided to start with Question 4 then 1,2 and 3)

Production Day 3 ( Final day of editing)
Now that my ancillary product is almost complete i still had to make a few adjustments to some parts of my digipak and advertisement to ensure that they each look of a proffesional and unique standard. I did this by going back over the do's and don't (conventions) which confirmed my ability to construct my Ancillary work relatively.
(Still pending......)
My completed products
I am really happy of the way my media products have turned out and i have also enjoyed using photoshop to make them. The i tried to posterize the inside panels but it made the images look too over-edited so i switched it back to normal as i was told it from feeback from other students that it was fine the way it was. I have ended up also chosing my shade of blue the reason for is is because i have gone for the black and white theme which makes the intensive blue look too solid and bold for it so i chose a nice pale blue to fit into it.
This black and white theme i created was purposely for me to make my digipak look unique and different compared to the other member's in my group. Also because the song in the album are quite depressing and created the sense of "no color" or "brightness".
I added a city scape theme as a lot of it was seen in the music video where we did the night scenes in kingscross, so for visual link purposes.
At the end i added a promotional sticker to stimulate the my artist promotion and also to add to proffession.
Production day 2

Moving on i managed to find the right images for my front cover this images in particular was the best in terms of quality, her pose looks proffessionall those are mainly the reasons why i have chosen it. During this session i took the chance to play with the different shades of blue to find which type would be suitale to use. The shade shown about doesnt fit in so i would be looking forward to changing it during the third and final day of my productionWednesday, 9 January 2013
Production day 1
As i started to work on the making of my digipak i began to include the basics which involved the solid background colour (black), writing Name of our artist, name of album (where its likely to be placed) and listed the lyrics in the font chosen by or group. I found that step to be a simple way to figure out a suitable placement for each of my chosen images.
However, the image i chose for the front cover shown above was not conventional to be put there as the main focus in this image are her hands and we need our artist's face to be the main focus.....
These screenshots shown aside are the names of my artist and album in different placements on the front cover. I thought it was interesting to try a range of placements with the names whilst looking at existing albums. I realized that the positioning/placement of the names is dependable to the type of image that is used. (My rule is to place the names accordingly to the images used)

The solution to this was to paste the image on the back panel beside the lyrics as it looked more effective. The words from our song titles emotionally represents the pose our artist makes in order to relate to her album.
My target is to find a better image for the front cover and to also try to use the same images in colour to whether it still looks effective as black and white. I think this will also enable me to expand on my Photoshop skills.

Do's and Don'ts
This screen grab is a clear spread sheet made on word which highlight the things we should DO for the conventions of our digipaks. i have made the "DO'S" on a creative sheet so i could remember them better and to make sure i work accordingly with these conventions.
The DON'T'S
- STRETCH IMAGES
- USE LAYER STYLES
- USE UNNESSASARY EFFECTS. ANY EFFECTS USED MUST SUIT THE GENRE
- PLACE TEXT ACCROSS THE ARTIST'S FACE
- USE FONT SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU LIKE IT
- FEEL YOU NEED A SEPERATE PHOTO ON EVERY PANEL - BE CREATIVE
Decision on album name
Different Words We Could Have Chosen...
We typed in "Alone" into thesaurus.com because we wanted to come up with a synonym for the word so it will suit the theme of our music video. We chose "Solo" out of all of these words because, as a group, we all Favorited this the best.
Developed ideas for Advertisement :mock-up 2
I have developed my ideas by making my advertisment landscape instead of portait. I did this because the portait format seemed to almost force me to follow the conventions of a magizine rather than a music advertisment. This also allowed me to place text on and other conventional things along the side of my image.
However, after thinking again, the image i used (shown above) is not suitable for my advert as her hands are then main focus instead of her face. In order for us to recognize her as a new artist in the industry is by selecting another image makes her face the main focus but still look interesting.
