Rihanna's music video - Only Girl in The world
Item one - Digi Pak |
From watching the video you clearly see there has been a clear theme in both the advertisement and the digi pak when it comes to Rihanna's album, she uses the same colours and the same colour text on both to signify and particular house style. Rihanna also has the same hair style and well and makeup as she does in the video which shows a relation between the video and the advertisment for the artist. The main image on both the advertisement and the digi pak is a closeup of Rihanna which promotes her as an artist so everyone knows who she is. The release date of the album is clearly stated on Rihanna's advertisment and the title and the artist name is clearly pasted on both items in a readable font which stays the same and is attractive to the audience. The inside of Rihanna's CD case also follows the same theme and it advertises her as well with an image of her that is extremely effective to the item. From the items you can clearly tell who the artist is and what kind of artist she is which is extremely useful to her target audience. Also with the images that have been used Rihanna also meets the 'male gaze' as the image makes herself and the album look appealing which meets the needs of a particular audience. The album is also quite girly and stylish which would meet the needs of females as well as men.
On the downside, the advertisement does not directly tell us where the album can be bought from... and the album digi pak does not clearly display a Track list to tell the audience what is to be found on the CD itself.
