Amarillo Remake video

summer work projects: Hassan, Vanessa, Angel - Amarillo

This is my Amarillo remake video that I did in June 2012.
The Three technical strengths of this video are:
- The editing
- The filming
- The mise en Scene

Editing was a strength in my video because we tried to make cuts in time with the music just as the video did. We also managed to do a opening to the music video which was a huge strengeth because we got the same exact style of font and transition as same as the actual music video.

The reason why filming is a strength in this video is because of the fact that we used many close ups and mid shots throughout to look just like the actual video. The fact that we tried to use the rule of three to film shows that this was one of the skills that we learnt at AS level.

Mise en Scene was a strength because we thought of the custumes before we started filming. The custume may not have been exactly the same as the customer Peter Kay was wearing; however the fact that it was different showed that we took the initiative to try and make our video to suit our audience which was teenagers.

The Three technical weaknesses of this video are:
- The mise en Scene
- The editing
- The Filming

Our own strength had high weaknesses because in terms of mise en scene; the acting was not good because it looked exactly like he was miming. Therefore if this was to be done in the actual music video, then this would degrade us.

The editing was still not to its highest potential because there were many times when it did not cut on beat, it was rather late and off beat. The cuts were not smooth either, therefore you could tell that the video was badly edited to an extent.

The filming was not exactly good because it although we tried to stick to the rule of three, because the camera was hand held; it was slightly more difficult to do so.
