There is no actual video of "I need this" by Jessie J; however I can tell you how it will be different from her other slow songs that has a video for it, for example "Who you are".
In this video; throughout there is not as many cuts and editing done as there would be in a more upbeat music video. The effects used are the quality of the picture; for example adjusting the colour to make Jessie J stand out above everything else. The background looks slightly colourwashed to portray the fact the seriousness of the song. The Jump cuts used are quite obvious to capture the different emotions of Jessie J whilst she is singing the song.
Jessie J in this video is dressed quite casual to show the fact that she accepts herself for how and who she is and although she has the fame and fortune she would never change how and who she is for anything.
In terms of locations; there is only one location to portray in the music video that she is the main focus and also to amplify the song slightly to show that it is about loosing yourself and forgetting who you are.
In our music video; it will be very different. This is because: we will be first of all using different locations instead of one, we will have more editing in terms of special effects and colours, slightly darker lighting to represent space, have more outside locations to interest the audience since our artist will be a break through artist and finally there will be different angle shots of our artist instead of one eye liner shot (mainly).
What will be similar is the fact that our artist will be the main focus and that her facial expressions will be serious and sad. In terms of costume; it will be fairly similar however; our artist will dress more smart casual and have set colours instead of one outfit.
At the end of Jessie J's Song the lighting is removed creating a silohoette which is quite effective because it leaves the audience thinking about the lyrics of the song. Hopefully in our music video, we will be able to use that technique to portray and amplify the meaning of space in our music video.
