An example of good Lighting

In this video there is a good example of lighting with the spotlight.

Throughout the music video, there were a lot of bright lights in terms mise en scene- in both the probs and in editing.  This was done to show that Beyonce is the main attraction.

The spotlight is used very effectively as there are time when she becomes a silhouette. This could be a good technique to use in my music video as it shows amplifies the lyrics of the song 'listen' - thus the spotlight on her signifies that she wants people to listen to her.

The location; a stage was very effective as it was an empty theatre which also gives reference to the film 'Dream Girls'.This could also be a good location spot to use as the theme of our song is 'space' therefore an empty theatre could be good as it shows the girl being alone to think.
