Analysis of Music Video

I feel this video 'Bow Wow - You Can Get It All' is an excellent example of a music video because it has most or all of the conventions you would expect to find in a proper music video. 

Firstly, in this video, it is extremely clear who there artist is because there are a number of close ups of him. This is an important aspect because Bow Wow is the main reason why everybody bothered to watch the video. Bow Wow is in practically every single shot of this video which attracts the audience more because we get what we came to see this video for.

Secondly, the way in which the artist acts in this video is also key. He is behaving realistically which makes the video come alive and make it more interesting. If the artist isn't acting the part that he is portraying himself /herself properly, the video wouldn't be as good as it could have been.

Thirdly,you can see many edits such as match cuts, slow motion, fade outs, etc. These edits are what makes music videos different from a film or a documentary.

Fourthly, there is a lovely scenery in this video. Which is, yet again, what makes it a great video. Where this video is located is a lovely beach area, what makes people want to watch it is the fact that they wish they could go to such a scenery to be there with whoever they fancy (which is what the artist, Bow Wow, is showing us.

All these aspects are only a few of the things that make me feel is a great music video; there are many other things aswell such as the props that suite the location and etc.
