Budgeting

A key factor about music videos which has not really been mentioned during our research is Budgeting. As were are only minor A2 Students we don't have the means to contribute thousands/millions of pounds towards our production.  Realistically we are not looking forward to spending that kind of money on our music videos but we are willing to incorporate quality of editing, to keep our production up to a reasonable but yet good standard by making great use of all we have.

After researching these mind-blowing statistics ( Screen grabs shown above) i watched my personal favorite and a universal classic made by Micheal Jackson which has been identified to obtain the highest expense of input money towards its production.
Michael Jackson - Beat it

As we can see in this music video the base tracks and locations that are used have high costs towards using them. The costs for setting it up and space given just for this particular music video to happen involved them having a high price range. On the other hand, the budgeting used in our music video is intended to be nowhere near £15,000 as we wouldn't be gaining any profit from it but there are cost towards it. In terms our uses of locations there are no prices for using them as the locations that we have chosen are all in open/free zone areas such as the parks, Green room in college and my house.
This will involve the props we will use for the suggestions we made for amplification and also for costume.Below is a shortlist of the purchases we are capable of inquiring.

Candle - £1.99

Mask- £2.50

Total Amount: £4.49
