Intended audience:
The video i believe is intended for an audience of teenage boys, i think this is because it is cool especially with the use of quitars and the changing of their outfits and the idea of the lead singer getting the girl at the end of the video.

Genre:
When watching this video i thought it was a typical indie, rock kind of music video, this is shown through the sound of music and the way they are percieved in the video, with a very indie edge.

Narrative/Structure:
The class decided the narrative/structure of this music video was disjuncture and this is because there was little connection between the lyric and video, the only times the lyric has connection with the video is when the girl in the video whispers something into the lead singers ear, if the girl character was not in the video there would be no relavence throughout.

Media Language:
This video has great use of editing throughout, for example it uses:
- Screen wipes
- fast and slow motion
- Long shots
- fast editing

However there was not alot of camera movement which in my opinion could have bumped up the performance.

Representation:
There was decent representation of the two main quitarists in the video for example they changed their outfits a few times to spice up the image, for example, suits and pajamas. which shows a different variety of characteristics. However other than this aspect they was not really presented in a very exciting way, as it was not that appealing to the audience.

In conclusion, i believe this was a good music video, the best aspect of the entire music video would have to be its creative use of editing throughout, however there could have been many improvements for example more links between the music and the lyrics because if the gir character was not in the music video the video would have seemed irrelevant, furthermore, more camera movement throughout to make the audience more excited throughout and more movement in general with the lead singer and his background quitarist as there moving locations but stying in the exct same position did not have a great effect as it would have had if they had changed locations but made movement.
